When spring arrives, we think of a new season, sunshine, flowers and maybe some spring cleaning.
We get so caught up with helping our family and friends that we sometimes forget to think about ourselves. So, for the month of September, we wish to challenge you to make some ‘me time’ at least once a week, even if it is only for 30 minutes.
At the Beauty Therapy Institute group of colleges, we have come up with some fun, natural recipes for you to try at home to pamper yourself and also to encourage you to have that time for yourself. You can also incorporate it into some fun family time together if that is your choice of relaxation.
Face masks:
Plain yogurt 15 – 20ml
Turmeric 1 teaspoon
Honey 1 tablespoon
Mix together and apply on your face and neck for 10 – 15 minutes.
Rinse and apply your chosen moisturizer.
Honey 15 – 20ml
Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
Mix together and apply on your face and neck for 10 – 15 minutes.
Rinse and apply your chosen moisturizer.
Body scrubs:
Sugar 125ml
Oil 15 – 20ml
Mix together and rub all over your dry body.
Rinse off with warm water. Feel the sugar dissolve and the skin feel really soft and smooth.
Apply your chosen body lotion.
Ground coffee 125ml
Oil 15 – 20ml.
Mix together and rub all over your dry body
Rinse off with warm water.
Apply your chosen body lotion.
